Relaxing weekend!

We had a good relaxing weekend! Last week was busy & stressful for us & by Friday I needed a rest, & I knew Jonathan did too, so I called him Friday afternoon & asked him what he thought about going to the Island for the weekend. He kinda laughed at first & told me he was sitting on the expressway on an overpass bridge with a broke down ambulance! (He ended up being there for 2 hours!) And yes, he was ready to relax on the island! He didn't get home til about 8:00 & I had everything ready so we left a few minutes after he got home. Its only about a hour to get down there & we found a motel (a really nice Super 8 - it even had a small kitchen w/a stove top, microwave & fridge). They had an outdoor pool & hot tub so he took Kylie in the hot tub - it was 10:30 at night so we were the only ones there! She wasn't too sure about it at first but didn't cry so that's a good start to not being afraid of water like me! :-) We slept in Saturday & checked out at noon & went to the beach. We found a really nice place where there were no people & just sat in the sand & played w/ Kylie. The water is still too cold to really get in. We walked in the surf a little bit but that was it. Kylie had a good time in the sand & playing w/ seashells. She did good about not eating it, but did try to rub her eyes w/ sandy hands. :-) Jonathan flew his kite for a little while & then it got away from him & blew across the dunes & over the road! He was able to get it back. All in all, it was a great weekend - no phones, no Internet, & no people! :-)
