Our past few days!

On Tuesday, Jonathan was off work & we decided that since the weather was perfect we should clean out our storage shed! We started around 11AM and got it all out (I was gonna take some pictures of our mess but I was too busy working on it!) and started sorting though it. We have it all done now and the shed looks so neat & organized! We had some stuff we were wanting to get rid of, so I asked my friend that lives right there at the camp if she had some stuff too. She did so we decided to have a yard sale. We thought it would be a good day because there is a school on the other end of the road and also just about a block away is a big flea market and tons of winter Texans are here now. We planned that for yesterday. We also found some time to have fun Tuesday! Jonathan was watering a tree in his mom's yard (our storage shed is in her back yard) and he again shared some of his childhood memories with Kylie. =) He taught her how to drink from the hose! Not very healthy, but she had a BLAST! She was very wet and it was a hot day so it all worked out!

Wednesday, the day of the sale, was still a beautiful day but a little more cloudy! It was also Jonathan's birthday and since I forgot to plan ahead and save some money to do something special, and the general fund was tied up with bills this week, I was all down about it, but then I had been praying Monday that somehow I could get a little extra money, well, we decided to do the yard sale Wednesday instead of Friday when we origanally planned. So, I was able to make enough (almost) to go out to dinner! Thanks to my friend, Melodie Sankey & her family for offering to keep the children while we went. It was a fun time, even though we were both so tired it was hard to eat! God answered two other prayers for me yesterday that I need to publicly praise Him for! Somehow my keys got locked in the 4-Runner. There is an auto-lock feature on it that when all the doors are shut for probably about a minute it locks!! Well, I was hoping I wouldn't have to call Jonathan at work to ask him to come over to unlock it for me, so my friend and I were just talking and scheming how we could get in there, but I had prayed that Jonathan would show up on his downtime around lunch! Not 5 minutes later he pulled in!!! AND he brought the mail with him! In it was a $5 coupon from LUVS diapers!! (They were leaking every day & and wrote to ask the company about it & they sent me this coupon!) Right now there is also a $1.50 Target coupon for LUVS and you can use both there. I needed to buy them this week and I can now get a pack for aroun $.50!!!! God is so good!!

Enjoy these pictures of my ALL boy!!! He was playing in the dirt and having a blast eating it!! You can't see it real well, but he had 'self-made' mud on his face!

Well, I'm off to try to catch up my house from this week of not being home! I also want to try to get to visit some friends & get the Target & Walgreens. Check out the www.moneysavingmom.com website today for possibly free cheese at Target and a good Walgreens coupon that only works today. I think with that & my other coupons I will be able to get what I needed from there for just a few dollars!

Happy Bithday, Jonathan!

Sweetheart,

I'm sorry this is a day late! You know how my day was yesterday! (And yours!) I just want you to know that I'm very glad you were born this day. God knew way back then, that I would need you to be the love of my life & the daddy to my children! Thanks for all you do for us!

I love you very much!!

~Renee

Cookies, Milk, & Tortillas!

Most of you know that Jonathan spent most of his 'growing up' years in Mexico with his family. Of couse he has lots of memories ~ places he's lived, food he likes (and don't like!) and all sorts of other things. Well, one thing he really likes is these cookes! I don't know about your Wal-Mart, but ours here sells these "Mexican" cookies. And the other night when I sent him there for something, he brought them home with the idea of 'going back in time' and eating these dipped in milk! =) Well, last night was the night. We thought we had the kids in bed & he brought out his cookies & milk. But a little someone that has 'food radar' in her brain, got back up & used her sweet little smile to warm her daddy's heart & he shared. =)
We've been seriously praying a lot the past few days that God would get our hearts & minds ready for Mexico, but never thought of including the kids in those prayers, but this morning Kylie got up and found the tortillas & wanted one, so I gave it to her...as I type ~ she's on her 3rd one! Not that eating tortillas 'makes her ready to go' but she never liked them before and that is one of the main foods they eat A LOT of! God is so good give us answers to prayer that we don't even really think of!!

Yes, this is a really bad picture, LOL! But it was morning & its the only one I could capture of her!

ADD ON:

As I was I typing this post, I can only asume that Kylie was graciously sharing her tortillas with her little brother, since this is what I found when I went to the kitchen! (No, I don't leave my kids alone for a long period of time. =) She was in here with me most of the time, but left for a few minutes...

Night Time Fun!

This was a few nights ago, while we were hangin' out reading books!

Multi-tasking!!

Don't tell me women are not the queens of multi-tasking!! LOL
We've been trying to start Kylie potty-training. So far nothing has happened but she's getting comfortable sitting there & getting the idea of 'potty' is in the bathroom...so I guess that's progress.

Last night she found the flushable wipes I got her and wanted them. I told her, no those for when you go on the potty. She said "Nasty (meaning she messed her diaper) -- potty and took off running for the bathroom. Then she sat there, asked for her toothbrush ("Teeth") and "Book"! She wasn't 'nasty' by the way. At least it seems we're headed in the right direction!!

Free Tuna at HEB

If you don't live in Texas, you can skip this post! :-) This is for my friends here. :-)

I got free Tuna at HEB last night!!! I got this deal from www.moneysavingmom.com. Here is the link: http://www.moneysavingmom.com/2008/01/speed-linking-current-deals-coupons-and.html It tells you how to do it! I was so exciting. If one doesn't have it, check a different one. That's what I had to do.

Also if you want great deals at Walgreens, pick up several copies of the town crier Saturday night at HEB and in it are the coupons and Walgreens ad. A lot of times when there is coupons for stuff, Walgreens has it on sale! I saved $50 there this week. Most of the ideas I got from the website above, so its worth checking out!

Target has Pepsi 12 can cases for $1.50 a case until Saturday! You have to print the target coupon for $1.00 off a Pepsi product (Go to the link for Target coupons on my sidebar) They are on sale for 4 for $10 and with 4 $1 off coupons it comes to 4 for $6!!

Enjoy!! I'm headed to shop this afternoon so I can get the Pepsi & some more tuna. Have a great day!! Check out Moneysavingmom.com every day for new specials!!!

Happy 48th birthday, Pastor Mike Nevseta

I bet you thought I forgot about this, huh?!! Well, I almost did. And I didn't even need Wesley's reminder!! :-) Hope your birthday was great! I tried to find more embarassing pictures but I couldn't, so this will have to do!! :-)

Korey

I took Korey yesterday for his 6 month check-up, almost a month late. (he'll be 7 months old on Saturday) He weighs 15 lbs 2 oz and is 26 inches long! I think he's gonna be catching up to his big sister soon!! (Kylie weighs 22 lbs) :-) I can't keep this kid full of food! He's always hungry! Its nothing for him to eat 8 oz bottle & want another 4-6 ozs. I did start him on baby food which will cut down on the bottles but still. :-) He's been doing great at sitting up alone. The past few days I've noticed a HUGE difference! The dr said he's in perfect health & doing great! :-) He didn't even cry once during the exam, and only cried a little for his shots. The nurse was suprised he was so quiet. But I assured her that's his personality! Although lately, he's been getting more vocal! While I was taking these pictures last night, he was squeling, notice the wide open mouth! :-)

Playin' with his blocks from Grandma Lynn

Finally, some pictures

These are little old (like the week before we went to PA in Dec) but I found them & thought you might enjoy them!! Talking to 'Manga' (Grandma) ~ This was the day she hung up on my mom (something she does ALL the time) and I said, "Kylie, you hung up on Grandma" She said, "Oh well!!"
Playing together ~ this was the day they had their real first fight! They both wanted the carry bag to the blocks. And were both pulling on it...I went to look & Kylie was saying "Korey, NOOO"

Korey was standing up some today (holding on to the piano bench)!! He is also greatly checking out his voice!! He says 'hey'. FOR REAL, its not my imagination! But Kylie says this to him A LOT, so its no wonder! He has also finally achieved the goal of holding his own bottle. At least most of the time!!! This was great for me, especially last week, when I wasn't feeling too well.
He also likes pickles!!! I was eating one the other day with our grilled cheese sandwiches & he wanted it so I was like fine, you're not gonna like it, so I let him suck on it & then took it away...he wanted MORE!! He actually grabbed for it & cried!
Jonathan is now sick again. He's having some ear trouble. And is starting to cough. :-( So, we spent a quiet Sunday at home. I am feeling lots better but don't quite have the energy it takes to get me & 2 kids ready for church alone. Well, its about 8:20 PM, Korey just had his last bottle & so I think we are gonna join daddy & Kylie by going to bed too!!! Good night!

Back from the SICK!!

I'm finally over my sickness. Well, almost. I don't think I've been this sick, this long, in a LONG time! I'm still coughing some but its much better...:-) Now, to get our house back in order after a week & a half of not very much house work! YUK! But a little at a time I think I can get it mostly to normal. :-)

I've had lots of time this week to search out good deals online. :-) I was able to take advantage of some of them this week. So far I saved $15.xx at Walgreen's and $12.xx at HEB (our grocery store). I'll try & find time to post some of the deals I find and will be adding some new links next week too. Walgreen's has some good deals on stuff we don't really need that I can get VERY cheap, so I'll be stockpiling those to use in Mexico and/or to give to people who need them. I'm really excited about that. :-) If anyone wants to help with that, save & send us all the coupons you get that you don't need. I was able to get the coupons that are usually in the Sunday paper (which I don't buy) on Saturday in the free paper for our area! :-) I'm hoping that trend continues!

I for sure will be getting some new pictures of the kids on here next week. :-) I know that's what my family looks for. :-) They are both doing some many new things...its hard for me to keep up with it! :-) Korey is sitting up pretty good on his own & is trying to crawl!!!! He is so happy! He laughs all the time and is so pleasant! He loves his big sister to death & if they are together its hard to tell which one is making the noise! ;-) Kylie's talking so much more...she's starting to put stuff together! The other day she was done with her nap & called me "Mommy, 'mere"(come here) So I go in there and shes goes 'hold you!?' She will grab you now & say "I gotch you"!!! And my favorite...usually when she's in trouble for being honorary she goes, "I love you"

New Years Eve/New Years Day

I really hadn't planned on doing anything New Year's Eve. Jonathan was working until about 8, and it was getting cooler & so there was nothing to do. Well, he got the idea that we should make home made ice cream. Now, my last attempts at making home made ice cream were BAD!! I used the receipt off the box & it sounded & looked wonderful! But somewhere between the image & reality something wasn't right! I took a few bites of it, and that was it! But for this venture, we called the right people, Jonathan's mom & grandma and got the right receipt! He also brought some fireworks home with him, so we did that here & then made the ice cream. The kids did pretty good staying up. Korey LOVED the fireworks!!! He was bouncing & happy. Kylie wasn't too sure at first but then got used to it. She was sitting beside me & finally leaned over real close and said 'Hold you'. (her phrase for US to hold HER!) I fell asleep like around 11:30 before the ice cream was done but Jonathan woke me up & we ate some at midnight! Kylie was begging to go to bed around 11:30 to, so we let her. (gracious aren't we!?)

New Year's Day was fun too. We relaxed here in the morning & then I made some pizza & we went to McAllen to "The Zone". (We had some 'gift cards' for there so it made a fun time) Then I think we ended up at WalMart! The batteries died in the camera & I just did get the energy to charge them so no pictures from either day!

Christmas Day 2007

Yes, I'm finally getting this blog updated! :-) I got the cold/flu the kids & Jonathan had over the holidays so I've been not doing much of anything the past few days, except suriviving. I had a fever for 2 days at least but that's behind me now ~thankfully! Kylie's either getting sick again or cutting more teeth because she's been a little on the cranky side. Korey is still a dream! :-) He's just happy as long as he eats & get changed! But anyway - I want to get this caught up so I can start posting new things. :-)

Christmas Day was kinda lazy ~ in a good way though. We had my Uncle John & Aunt Cleo & Uncle John's mom for dinner. My mom made this AWESOME meal!! Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw, --- I can't remember the rest now, but it was GREAT!!

Then my cousins Jeremy, Sandy & their two kids came to visit & then my mom's other two sisters that are in town came to say Hi & bye! It was a great day! The evening was fun too, we finally got ahold of our friends & were able to go see them. I didn't take any pictures...can you believe that, Sue??? Actually, I don't think she did either. ;-) It was still great to see them again, especially the boys. They are getting SO BIG!! (I baby sat them when I lived up there. When I started to watch them, Brandon was 2 I think, & now he's 7 I think. :-) Mitchell was born while I was there & he's 4 now. WOW - time flies! My parents carving the Turkey

Waiting to eat that WONDERFUL meal

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve, we just chilled most of the day. Jonathan & I went to the mall & did some last minute Christmas shopping. :-) Then Mom, Becka & I went shopping & Jonathan & dad kept the kids. :-) That was really nice!! We were planning to go to the Christmas Eve service, but when the time came everyone was too tired to go anywhere. So we ate pizza for supper & then opened presents. My parents started that tradition years ago so they could sleep in on Christmas morning!! :-) Kylie thought all presents were for her! :-) Korey opened a few of his but mostly had help from his sister! It was a crazy, fun time, therefore, not many pictures! Lovin' these presents!!Jonathan with his new firefighter bear for the office! Korey wasn't too impressed with his new shirt from Aunt Becka, but mommy likes it!!

takin a nap with Pappy!!

Sunday Dinner

On Sunday, the 23rd, was the Christmas program at my parents Church. I did take the camera but it was such a busy day that I forgot to take too many pictures. :-) We had the church people over for dinner. It was fun. Sarah & Lynne were the picture people for that day & I'm to get some of their pictures so I'll have to add some then. :-) But for now, here are the few pictures I took. I think my parents have some different pictures too from the whole week. Maybe they can update their blog! :-) That night we went to the Indiana Wesleyan Methodist Church to hear a concert with RB Kuhn. It was refreshing. The girls have a great picture of Kylie blowing out her candle after the candle lighting service. :-)Jacob ~ Benjamin's big brother!

From L-R : Becka, Skip (playing the guitar), Pastor Mike (standing) Jeanette Weiserman (holding Benjamin) Jonathan & Bill Wieserman. On the couch with Korey (whose head is cut off) is Lynne Nevseta.

New Cousin!!

Our new baby cousin, Benjamin Adam Fetzer was born Dec. 18th. Becka & I went to visit him & his mom & dad in the hospital on Weds. It was so fun to hold a brand new baby! :-) He was 9 lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. He just got his professional hospital pictures taken so he's still decked out in his Steeler outfit! :-)
