Ice Cream - yum!

We've been trying to have at least 1 day a week where we do something fun together as a family. Today there was free Ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery when you donated to the Make a Wish foundation. After a fun supper at Cici's pizza, we met Joshua in McAllen for Ice Cream. It was very good! =) The kids had vanilla, I had chocolate, Jonathan had Black Cherry and Joshua got coffee. Korey was the happiest I think all day! He was lovin' that stuff!! It was a perfect night to be outside eating ice cream! I have to say we missed Jeremy, who usually joined us for these fun outings sometimes too! =(

Holding Daddy's hand

I quickly took this picture during church this weekend...Korey was just about asleep and was holding Jonathan's hand.

Amsoil blog updated!

I'm finally getting back on track with updating our Amsoil blog. You'll want to stop over there today and check out this great money-back guarantee offer from them!

Learning early (too early)

A few days ago, Kylie & Korey made a HUGE mess in their room. Korey (with help I'm sure, but I really do think it was mostly him) pulled all the books off the bookshelf and pulled the plastic drawers over that have their clothes in it. Thankfully he was not hurt and all that happened was the basket on top of the dresses with odds & ends in it fell too. Jonathan had stopped in for lunch and we both went running to see what happened. (3o books hitting the floor make a loud noise!) As we were going to their room, Jonathan said, Kylie what happened? Her response..."Korey did it!!" WOW - how do kids learn those things so early! Of course, we had a good laugh, and then cleaned it all up!

Kamryn's 2 month pictures

These are the 1st professional pictures I got taken of Kamryn. =) We are planning to have family pictures taken soon by our friends who do photography but Korey keeps getting tons of bug bites on his face. =( So, we have to wait til those clear up! And he's still not the best walker yet and keeps falling and getting bruises on his face. =( Sears sent me this great coupon for a $4.99 package so I decided to take advantage of it! She's been smiling at us, but we couldn't get her to smile for the pictures. She just started 'talking' to us too. Its so sweet! I guess she's learning from her big sister, who never stops talking anymore!

giraffe

Last August, when I went to PA my aunt Nancy & uncle Ernie got Korey a toy giraffe. It wasn't played with for a few months (since he was only 6 weeks old then) but a few months ago, giraffe got discovered. =) He carries it everywhere! When he gets tired, he'll get giraffe, suck his thumb and come to me so I can take him to bed or hold him. =) So, thanks uncle Ernie & aunt Nancy, that was a gift well used!

Who does she look like??

I always have people ask me "who does Kamryn look like?"....well, you decide. These are pictures of the kids all at 2 months old. Personally, I don't think she looks like either of them. Kamryn

Kylie

Kylie's been cracking us up with here vocabulary lately...hope this makes you laugh!

  • She was talking away to us last night and all of a sudden she said: Monkey medicine!
  • She was looking at blogs with me and saw a picture of a tree and said "That's crazy"! (Probably words she's heard lately as we've been looking at damage pictures from the hurricane!)
  • Yesterday I caught her with a glue stick. She was putting it on her lips like chap stick!!!
  • I took them to a friends house (who is a neighbour to my mother in law) and as I was turning in their drive, Kylie said, "No this way...grandma's house."

Have a great weekend!!

A day in the garage

While daddy was doing this :

If I would count the HOURS we spent in the garage working on vechicles it would surprise you, I'm sure! But I'm thankful for a great husband who knows how & takes the time to figure out how to keep our trucks running!
The kids were doing this:Getting into mischief! =)
Playing on Aunt Sarah's swingTrying to open the door to the playhouse - but mommy forgot the key

Sittin' so pretty!

BTW, they all slept very good & late this morning!! They should - I chased them around the yard for about an hour!! And yes, my kids have jackets on! It was down in the 60's last night.

My greatest thrift store find!

I've found lots of great clothes at thrift stores, but this is my favorite one lately. I found this dress for Kylie for $1.48!!!! I was so excited! She wasn't cooperating with her picture being taken but at least you can see the dress. (This post is mostly for my mom so she can see the dress!)

Kylie's plane!

Here is the promised pictures of Kylie's plane! She is so into all this flying stuff - its so funny! She tells everyone about daddy's plane crash (which they have) and fly Kylie's plane. (It crashes too!) It is a real radio control plane that is run off of regular batteries! The best part - it was $11 on clearance at walmart! I'd say we all got the $11 out of it already! =) Here she is 'trying it' (that's what she kept saying, "Kylie try it.") Looks like she got some help from daddy & Korey!
We let Korey hold it since he was crying for it! Doesn't he look like he won a prize!
Surprise ~ even Mommy had to fly it! It was fun after I got the hang of it!

Fun Flying

Jonathan has had radio controlled airplanes since he was a teenager and has recently got them back out. The kids really enjoy watching them and its a fun activity we can do as a family that is stress free and cheap! Kylie loves 'daddy's planes' and finally he decided if she was good on Saturday while we were at walmart he would buy her a plane...we both had a cheap foam one in mind.
Updates to come on Kylie & "Kylie's plane"!
