Ready to go!!
Hi. Not too much happening around here lately, (notice, I'm not going to say 'boring' again!) but I did want to share this sweet picture of Kylie. She really likes her new car seat! Its much easier for me too, now I can see what she's doing & give her things while I'm driving. On the flip side, she can now see what we are doing. If we are eating, she makes sure she gets some too! :-) Just one week from today & we'll be flying to PA to see my family for Easter! We are getting very excited but also starting to get overwelmed with all the things we need to do before we leave! Kylie's Easter dress is just about finished ~ I just have to hem it. Then I need to make the hat & panties that match. I was going to put a picture of it on here today, but I think I'll wait until I have both of ours done. I also need to make another denim skirt for myself. I bought a great one on ebay for a really good price (maternity clothes are very expensive, especailly nice denim skirts) and I got it yesterday, & its too small! Its Old Navy brand & the size is XS, but --- anyway! :-) Oh, we both had good visits at the clinic on Wednesday. We are both growing! LOL ~ Kylie weighs 16lbs 8 oz, and is 28 1/2 inches long....I won't tell you my weight -- LOL! The midwife I saw is really cool! She just got here from TN, & she'll be here until June, so maybe she'll get help deliever this one! Her name is Heather. Our favorite midwife is Kory & she's already promised that she will deliever this baby! She couldn't for Kylie b/c we had to go to the hospital. I have another ultrasound scheduled for the 17th of April to check the fluid level & also maybe a chance to find out what it is! :-) Oh well, I need to get off here & finish her dress! Hope you all have a great weekend -- ours will be very busy! :-) But life is more fun busy!

Clean car & playing in the yard!

Kylie's first picture in the 'plants'! (Sue, that's for you!!)
Playing in the grass!

Clean car!! Almost like new!

We had a fun day yesterday as a family! Jonathan was off a whole day for once & so he washed & waxed my car! It looks really really awesome!! Thank you, sweetheart! Kylie was also able to be outside! She was having fun in the grass! And the Jonathan got the idea to take some pictures in the flowers ~ Sue, he's getting like you!!! Anyway ~ we both thought of you when we were doing this photo shoot!! We also were priviledged to go on a real date last evening! Some friends watched Kylie & we got pizza & played miniture golf! We had a fun time just being together! One of the best parts was I didn't have to take a thing!! I didn't even carry my cell phone! This morning, Kylie & I both have a check up at the clinic. Thankfully, she doesn't have to get shots this time! :-) She does do pretty good with that though. Better than I do! She must be cutting another tooth, because she woke up in the night crying, but she didn't cry long because I waited a few minutes before I was going to go in there & I fell back to sleep. So, this morning when we got up - I went to check on her & she was softly crying in her sleep, so I got her up & she was real clingy. Jonathan tried to hold her while I ironed his shirt for work, but she didn't want him. She did fall back to sleep, so hopefully she wakes up better! Hope everyone has a great day!

Progresso, Mexico

Here are some pictures from Mexico. They are from Progresso Market. Its only about 15 minutes from our house here in Texas. The market area is mostly for tourist. This is where we buy medicines for us & the dog when we need them. Its so much cheaper there. Its also just a fun place to go! The top left picture is just a boy playing in the street. Top right: A food stand Left: You can't see it real well, but its a bride & groom in their car! Bottom: A man playing music

Mouse (X3) in my House!

Cute little rhythm I know -- not for me! Mice are the WORST creature ever made, OK, so they rank neck & neck with a roach. But at least I can kill a roach. Ok, here's the story ~ several weeks ago we kept hearing scratching in our bedroom walls, there wasn't a lot we could do about it then, because we didn't know how to catch it when it was in the wall. Well, just last week Jonathan found evidence of it in the kitchen cupboard, so we said when we went to walmart we'd get some traps. Ok~with him working so much this week, we never made it to walmart~until last night!!!!! Jonathan came home & we ate supper & he still wasn't feeling very good (he's been sick all week too) so he went to lay down...I went back to the kitchen to start cleaning up when I saw this mouse scurry across my counter! I went running back to the bedroom & told him he had to get up & get rid of it, and I was going to walmart right then to get traps...Kylie was sleeping & so I went - when I came back to the kitchen to get ready to leave it was on my STOVE!!!!!!!!! I was so upset -- (yes, & when you're pregant EVERYTHING is BIGGER!!). Anyway -- to make a longer story short - we got 1 mouse last night. And 2 this morning! Hopefully, thats the end of them! So, today I must clean my kitchen, armed with gloves & bleach! I can't even walk out there without feeling sick to my stomach! I'm even half sick writing this!! Sorry, no pictures of the adventrues...Jonathan wanted to know if I wanted pics for the blog -- I was like NO!!!! Of couse, he thought this whole thing was great fun! Alright, I won't write about a boring week again! :-) For real, today I'll try to get some picturues of Kylie on here. I was gonna take some yesterday & the batteries were all dead for the camera.
Have a great day!

Boring Week

Hi. Its been a boring week around here! That's why I havn't posted anything until today. :-) I've been working on Kylie's Easter dress, cleaning, studying Spanish, taking care of Kylie, being sick, cooking....and I could go on & on! Jonathan had to work every day this week, so its been a long week for us. He works from 7A to 8P usually, Tuesday was just 4 hours & today might only be 9 or 10. But Mon, Weds, & Fri are long days!
In other news -- Kylie's 3rd tooth is though where you can see it. :-) And she has mastered feeding herself 'puffs' (Gerber foods). I'm very excited about that! I don't even have any new pictures to post...I guess I should take some! I kinda forgot about it this week. Hope ya'lls week has been more exciting than mine! :-) Only about 16 days until we leave to fly to PA!! I'll try to add some pictures later on today!

Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show 2007!

Good morning! I'm finally getting to posting the pictures from the livestock show on Saturday! Kylie had a wonderful time! She only slept a little bit all day. :-) It made for a very cranky baby Sunday morning~but she adjusted! :-) She got to pet a cow, goat, bambi & a rabbit! My favorite picture is of her just sitting in the sawdust with the goats. :-) She was like "ok, let's play!"

Not too much going on today here though. I started cutting Kylie's Easter dress out Saturday morning so hopefully I'll get to finish cutting it out & get started on making it today! Its less than 3 weeks until we fly to PA, so I have lots to do before then! I wanted to get her scrapbook caught up too, but I really can't see that happening! She's taking a nap now though, so I'm gonna go get busy on her dress!! Have a great week!

New diaper bag & Amsoil!

Hi! Today we got several things that were exciting! First I made Kylie a new diaper bag! Her other one was coming apart, & I had this pattern with a dress pattern, so I decided to try it! The best part is I can throw it in the laundry when I need to! We also went to Target this morning & got a good buy on diapers! They have special web coupons sometimes & they'll accept the manufacters coupons as well. Then I stopped at HEB because I had some HEB baby food coupons that expired next week, & I found Kylie a bigger car seat 50% off!

Then when I got home there was a package on the steps! It was our Amsoil welcome kit! So, now we are offically Amsoil dealers! I don't know a lot about it but if you are interested in ordering any or have any questions, contact Jonathan at jss226texmex@aol.com or 956-342-5925. I'll tell you what I do know! ~ You can go 25,000 miles with 1 oil change! Its the best synthetic oil out there! They also sell filters & all kinds of other lubricates that you would need for a car or truck. They even have health products! And oils & stuff for ATVS. Even if you don't want to change your own oil, we can have the product shipped to you & you can take it anywhere they do oil changes & they'll do it for you. When Jonathan worked at National Lube, the Texas State Troopers would bring the Amsoil to them & they would change it for them. That was about it for our day! Jonathan had to be at work at 5 AM today! We may go to the park later for a walk, I'm not sure yet. Oh, Kylie has another tooth!! Its on the bottom next to the other two...its not visible enough yet for a picture, but I'm thinking thats why she's been up at 2AM the past two nights!

My first ponytail!!

I finally found enough hair on Kylie to make a little pony tail!!! I was so excited! Hopefully she'll keep it in at least til we get to church!! Doubt it though ~ we have another hour til church starts!

Box from Grandma & Grandpa Fetzer!

Hi! On Monday we got a 'just because' box from my parents! Kylie enjoyed opening the presents & playing in the paper! Also, another picture I want to share it Kylie in Jonathan's boots...she kept playing with them so he put her in!! We had boring 'catch up' day yesterday. Jonathan was off & so he did yard work & worked on fixing a lawn riding tractor. And I just did house work around here, Took a nap, & fed Kylie. :-) That's becoming a big job anymore, she LOVES to eat! Last evening, we went to walmart & then stopped at HEB & got some ice cream to make home make strawberry milk shakes! They were yummy! Jonathan's the best strawberry milkshake maker!! And of course we only use the best strawberries ~ from Salamanca, MX!!

Sarah,
Your card is on the way ~ I forgot your birthday was today, I though it was later in the week! Hope you have a great day & remember that we love you very much! We can't wait to see you again! Jonathan & I were looking though photo albums last night & found a picture of you from when he & I first started dating! You were so little!! You've grown up a lot & stayed so sweet!
We love you! ~Jonathan, Renee, Kylie

Air Fiesta 2007!

Waiting for the show to start!

We had a good time today! It was nice to spend some time out as a family. Kylie did really good! She loved seeing all the people! We were sitting right up close & most of the planes taxied right in front of us - the one time, she said, oh! And another time she was waving bye! We'll add more pictures on Monday of some of the planes (that's Jonathan's department!) Have a good weekend!

Shopped til we (at least Kylie) dropped!

Kylie eating veggie puffs in her new boster seat!

Getting ready to go to town! (Ok - I'm not good
taking pics of myself!)She dropped!

Poor Kylie ~ She totally gave out on me today! We finally made it to McAllen to pick up her pictures at Sears today. While we were there we walked around the mall, just looking & got an Auntie Anne's pretzel! They are my favorite, & the only place there is one close is in McAllen Mall. Kylie liked the pretzel but not the lemonade! She knows how to drink from a straw now so I let her try some, but at first she spit it right out! :-) Then she liked it after she got used to the taste! Also while in McAllen, we went to the thrift store. Its my favorite place to shop! I always find good bargains! I got a much needed white long sleeved tshirt for me & 2 shirts for Jonathan that he very much needed ~ he wears them out in the garage! Then we went to Walmart to get a few things & our WIC stuff, I was ready to come home & so was Kylie but we dropped the stuff off here at the house & I fed her supper & then we left again to go find tickets for the air show tomorrow. We are planning to go with Jeremy & Jared. They don't sell the tickets around here because its too far away from Brownsville where its at, so I went almost to Harligen to get them. At least I was able to get them, ~ they are more expensive at the gate! Now ~ I need to go finish up my house & get more less ready for Sunday since we'll be gone all day tomorrow.

Wild Child!

Jonathan downloaded his pictures from his cell phone tonight so we are sharing the pictures of Kylie with you! Enjoy!

This is the new sound tech at South Texas Holiness Camp! Jonathan helped in the sound room for a few services at camp & Kylie was with him for one, so they played!

Jonathan let Kylie 'play' with his pocket knife! She was ready to do some dangerous stuff! (No humans or animals were harmed during this photo shoot!)

Hot water heater & Chili's!

Good evening ~ Yesterday we woke up to 36 degrees! As Jonathan was getting ready for work, he came & ask me what was wrong with the hot water. I remembered then, that Sunday when I was doing the dishes the water just wasn't as hot as normal. He had to leave so he couldn't look at it then. He called us about 11AM & wanted to know if Kylie & I would come to Chili's for lunch with him & his work partner for the day. (He is an ECA & works for an ambulance company.) Of course, I said YES! So we had a fun lunch. Kylie just likes to look around at everyone & try to get our food. She makes the craziest sound when she wants food that you have to give it to her because its so annoying & cute at the same time! LOL She had just eaten two jars of HER food & wanted mine! Her eyes got so big & she got so excited when she saw my plate of cheeseburger & fries! The rest of the day we did stuff at home. Kylie slept a lot yesterday, so I was able to get some paper work caught up. And also helped mom get Becka's plane tickets to go to PA in April for her Spring Break. (Which, overlaps the time that we'll be there!!!) Oh, back to the hot water heater ~ Jonathan got home around 9PM & went right to the office to check it out because it was driving him nutz all day that it was broke! He opened it up & there was a reset button and (drumroll!!~) we had hot water! I'm so thankful for hot water! I never thought much about it before, but yesterday I did! This morning I totally enjoyed my hot shower! We ate a late supper of potatoes, eggs, & tortillas & went to bed! He was off work today so we relaxed in the morning & then went to town & did some errands. He fixed a computer for a family from our church so we took it back to them & visited for a few hours! Kylie had a great time & didn't take a nap. When we got home around 7 tonight she was too tired but didn't want to sleep! She just woke up now so I am changing her clothes & giving her a bottle & putting her back to bed! I'm ready to go to sleep too! Tomorrow I have to go to McAllen, to pick up Kylie's 8 month pictures at Sears, so maybe we'll make a afternoon of being in town & go to the thrift store too! Good night!

update!

Kylie & Uncle Joseph
Look, I'm a big girl now!

Ok - now that I got that newsletter on here & kinda know what I'm doing, I'll update you on our lives since the newsletter. January was pretty uneventful, at least I don't remember too much going on. :-) It stayed pretty cold though, a lot of days & nights in the 30's and 40's. Jan. 30th was Jonathan's birthday. He made sure he had off work & we had a fun day. Our friend offered to watch Kylie while we went out to eat & then tried to shop for a mini van, but couldn't find one. It was chilly & drizzly so it was kinda miserable to be outside! I started on my Spanish & got the first PACE done and made a 99% on the final test! I'm still working on the second PACE, but camp meeting in Hobe Sound, FL started the 1st of Feb, even though we couldn't go, I listened to a lot of the services online when I could. Then our camp meeting here was coming up (the 16th-25th) and I had tons to do to get ready. Jonathan's brother Joseph came to visit during that week of camp. It was great to have him here because we havn't seen him for a year! And he never saw Kylie before! I think he fell in love at first sight! At the airport, she just looked at him & gave him her big smile! We had a good camp! Probably the best I've been to here in South Texas! It was a time of refreshing! Joseph left on the 26th & life has been trying to get back to normal, but I doubt it ever will...Oh in the midst of all this we had an ultrasound done to find out what our new baby is (due June 20, 2007) but it didn't want us to know, so it's a suprise! I wasn't real happy about not knowing but then God had to give me an attitude check, and I realized that at least I know its ok & healthy! Kylie is starting to walk along the furniture & get into everything! She'll be walking on her own soon. She aleady tries to let go of stuff, and if you hold her hands she'll do pretty good. Her vocabulary is increasing all the time...momma, (sometimes mommy) dadda, Becka (my sister), bye-bye (with a wave - sometimes) and pap, & her newest one is 'oh'! She'll say yum when we are feeding her - only if she likes it! I'll try to post a few pictures of her if I can get it figured out!

January Newsletter

Hi friends! I'm going to try to keep up with this website better than the other one we had. This seems easier to update so hopefully it'll work better! Below is our January Newsletter ~
Dear Friends,Chilly winter greetings from the long lost Springers in Texas! Yes, I said chilly. It's been quit cold here lately. Mostly in the 60's & low 70's in the daytime and lower during the night. I'm ready for summer again! I'm sure you thought we totally forgot about you all, but we didn't. Our lives have been quite busy the past few months. A lot of changes and things we don't understand but God is still God and we are still holding to His promises, and that He will bring us though! I believe the last time I wrote it was the end of June. In July we were privileged to have Jonathan's family and my family come to visit us to met Kylie! We enjoyed both visits greatly. At the end of July we made the much anticipated trip to Salamanca for the church dedication. It was a wonderful weekend. God's presence was so real and it was so encouraging to see the people there open to what God would have for their lives. On our way back out here on Monday we stopped over in Villa Mainero for the annual camp meeting. It was good to visit with friends, be in the services, and eat lots of beans! In August Jonathan started taking the ECA (Emergency Care Attendant) class here in Texas. Since we were not able to raise all our needed support, we had been praying what God wanted us to do about Jonathan getting a job. One day our neighbor just asked him if he wanted a job with his ambulance company. Jonathan told him yes,and he started the class in the middle of August. It was only 6 weeks long and it gave him some more medical training which will be useful later in Mexico and gave him the ability to be able to work while we are out here. It is not something he plans to do forever, but God opened it up and we walked though the door. He has been able to speak with several co-workers about their need of Salvation. Please help us pray for these two people that God will continue to deal with their hearts. The one man, Omar, his 2 year old daughter is very sick with a terminal illness. Pray that God will help Omar & his wife to accept Him as their Saviour so they can have the hope of seeing their daughter again. Omar brings his Bible to work sometimes and he and Jonathan have been able to talk about spiritual things on several occassions. The other man's name is Lorenzo. In the month of September, we were privileged again to take another trip. This time to Hobe Sound, FL. A missionary here sold his van to a church over there and we delivered it to them! It was a fun, exciting, and tiring trip but it was worth it. We got to spend about 4 days with my sister, who is attending college there. We also were able to see my cousins who live 2 hours north in Daytona Beach and visit the Kennedy Space Center. We've had some other changes - for starters our address. If you have sent us mail to the Jose Portillo Rd. address and it was returned, I'm sorry. The post office is supposed to forward it to our PO Box but I know of a few times that they have not. We were having a lot of trouble with the carrier out here so we decided to get a PO Box in town. The new address is at the top of this page. The other change is that the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Johnstown where I grew up, has agreed to put our financial support though them so that you are able to receive a tax deductible receipt from them at the end of the year. If you wish to send your support though them, write the check to Wesleyan Methodist Church. Due to IRS regulations do NOT put our name on the check anywhere. Attach a note stating its for Springers. The address to mail it to is: Wesleyan Methodist Church c/o Ralph Fetzer, 530 Shomo Street, Johnstown, PA 15902. Also, since Jonathan is now working, the money we receive for missions, goes toward paying off our truck so we can sell it to purchase a bigger one, due to our growing family, and any Mexico related expenses. Starting in January 2008 we all have to get a passport to be able to enter back into the USA! This will cost about $300 for all of us. Last week I was able to order the Spanish program though School of Tomorrow. I'm excited to finally be able to get a good background on the Spanish language. Its easy for me to pick stuff up but I'm not good at sentence strucutre and word tenses. So I'm hoping to get much better in those areas. Kylie is growing very fast! She is 7 months old now and very active. She is working on the experiences of crawling and sitting up on her own and feeding herself a bottle. She is also enjoying all the new foods we are feeding her. She does not like the vegetables but we are working on that! She was baby Jesus in the church Christmas program. She did a good job. Better than what I thought! During practices she was silly, laughing & talking, and making all kinds of noise. Then the other kids would laugh at her and she would do it more! But for the program all she did was sit on my lap and suck her thumb! She is very entertaining and helps me to talk to all kinds of people! She is going to be a great asset to our ministry with her outgoing personality! We were not able to be with our families this Christmas but God helped us to have a good day! It had been cold and rainy all weekend and Kylie was getting sick again. (She had bronchitis for about 3 weeks in October). I was laying in bed Sunday night praying for God to let the sun shine on Christmas! We woke up that morning to the sun streaming in the window! It was still quit cold but I'm thankful that he answered my little prayer! We trust you will have a Christ filled 2007! Please continue to pray for us here as we strive to do God's calling! Jonathan, Renee, & Kylie Springer
