Thanksgiving

Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving Day. It was very different than what I'm used to, but it was nice. It was COLD in South Texas today! It kinda felt good... I felt like it was really Thanksgiving! Notice I had the kids all bundled up & I was wearing a WINTER coat! :-) Now, tomorrow I want it back in the 90's!! We had a big meal this afternoon with Jonathan's family & their church here. It was nice. The food was great! :-) Last year, 3 of my friends & I were all pregnant at the same time, and today all of us were there with our babies...so we had to take some pictures. The kids did really good! They are 11 months, 7 months, 5 months, & 4 months! After dinner, we met the Sankeys, Collette Burch, Jeremy, Jared & my mother-in-law, her husband & Sarah at the Corn Maze for a very fun night. We were all to go last Thursday as a church but it didn't work for us to go & Sankey's couldn't go because of Logan being back in the hospital. Hangin' out in the maze!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to us!

Here is just a few pictures from our wedding. Its not the drastic change you see in some people's pictures, but I guess that's because it's only been 3 years! :-) I don't have a lot on CD and I don't have a scanner, so there's just a few.

17 months & 5 months

WOW - time goes way too fast. Tomorrow Kylie will be 17 months old. She's talking much more every day. A few of her new words are:

• Joe
• eat (and she knows what it means)
• sed-ja (C-ya)
• Nay (me)

Korey is 5 months old today! He's also learning new things:

• holding toys
• rolling over from his back to his tummy
• sitting up a little bit
• hates his carseat (to the point of screaming!)

They are learning to play together!

Grandma & Sarah came to visit this week. They got here on Saturday. We have a full week of fun (playing, shopping, putting up the tree, playing & shopping some more!!)planned. :-) Aunt Sarah spent the afternoon with us yesterday. She performed her auntly duties well. (She counted 6 diapers she changed! ~ she volunteered, was I gonna say no?? NO WAY!!)

Jonathan was doing some work in the garage today & Kylie was very glad to help! While Korey, on the other hand, was very sad that he was stuck in his carseat!

Night time

Bed time has gotten pretty special at our house lately. We've been really trying to have time with the kids at night to read stories & pray. By the way, Kylie does a good job 'praying'. Tonight I asked her to pray for her supper & she folded her hands, bowed her head & prayed for a long time. When she was done she lifted her head and said 'men'! She's been doing lots better in her 'big girl' bed. :-) If she gets up now, she comes to our room.

I was just complaining a few days ago to my mom that she never says 'momma'. Well, she must have read my mind, that's all she says now!!! :-) Jonathan's been putting her to bed since she listens better to him & also she needs that special time with her daddy. (And I need a break!) Well, tonight I had to put them both to bed since Jonathan was working late. I laid Kylie down in her bed with her pooh and her blanket. She kept saying momma momma, I would say "what Kylie?" Then she'd wrap her arms around my head or neck and grunt like she was giving me a BIG hug!! Then she'd say 'night night'! That didn't last long and I was too tired to mess with her, so she went to sleep in her pack n' play tonight. Korey was fussy tonight too. As I was uploading these pictures he finally fell asleep!! So, now I need to go & finish getting Jonathan's supper ready for him & go to bed!! He is off tomorrow, and we are looking forward to having a fun day together! "Night, night" to all!

Nothing exciting

Happy Monday! :-) Yes, I really said that. LOL! I'm to the point in my life where I like Mondays! By the time I laze around all day Sunday (well, not totally but almost) I'm ready to do something productive on Monday!

Anyway, not an exciting weekend. I was sick all weekend with a cold & headache. I'm still coughing and 'blowing' some but my throat feels better. We had a weekend revivial at our church. The services that we made it to, were a great encouragment to us. I've also drivin the 4-Runner a lot more this weekend. Jonathan took the truck today so he could buy diesel in Mexico after work. Here, in our area its $3.29 a gallon. In Mexico, its around $1.90 a gallon!!! Its very much worth the $4.00 bridge toll & time it takes go over there & back. Plus, he always brings me coke & chips home, so that's an extra 'blessing' to me!!

Congrats to me!!

I just have to tell everyone that I drove the 4-Runner to church last night!! Then to wal-mart & back home. :-) Jonathan changed the clutch on Tuesday & its an easier one than before. Whatever makes it like that I don't know, but I'm glad. Sorry no pictures. :-)

In other news, Kylie only slept in her new bed until 2Am. I heard her crying & got up and found her by the outside door. I tried to get her back in her bed but she was scared. So I set up the pack n play in the LR and she finished the night out in there. I'm sure it'll take her a few weeks to get used to her new bed. I also need to get a gate for the doorway (there is no door) to their room so she just can't wander around the house.

I got the baby swing out of the garage for Korey yesterday too. He really likes it. :-) And so do I b/c he's been really fussy lately. I'm not sure whats going on. Teeth - maybe. I have some pictures I'll try to add later today.

Kylie's New Bed

Kylie has graduated to her toddler bed. We'll see how this goes. I may decide the pack n' play is easier!! :-) She was getting too tall to fit comfortably in it & I was feeling bad for her. Thanks to her grandma Springer for the bed. I gave it a fresh coat of spray paint today & got some sheets for it. Grandma & Grandpa Fetzer are getting her a comforter for Christmas, so until then, I found this cute blanket to put on it. :-) There certainly needs some color in the room!! :-) There's way too much yellow now! :-)

WOW - what a week!

Its been a boring, yet eventful week. Jonathan worked every day last week. I think he finally has tomorrow off!!! YEAH!! Tuesday, we(no, more like Jonathan - I just supervised!) cleaned out the kitchen cupboard, (aka 'the old mouse house'). Jonathan also fixed it so they can't get in anymore, or at least we are hoping so. He put new shelf paper in & everything. It looks really nice. Wednesday, since there was not church, Jeremy came over to watch our kids while we went to see Logan Sankey in the hospital. For more info about that check out his moms blog. I know they would appreicate your prayers! Oh, and my wonderful husband brought me these home...Thursday, Jonathan took me to McAllen to Target. They have some really good sales going on right now. Check out the link on the side bar that says Target Internet coupons. We also had to watch a house burn down. Something I havn't done since I left Johnstown. Guess that shows we havn't been too terribly bored since moving here. LOL. Not that its exciting, but you have to understand my husband to get it. :-) After going to Target, we met Jeremy to eat in McAllen.

Friday was uneventful, if I remember. Jonathan came home, we ate & relaxed. :-) Saturday, I took him lunch at the football game he was standing by for. We were already out cashing the check. It was fun being together. The weather was really nice & a perfect day to sit outside! Kylie enjoyed her time with "da-y!" She saw an Absolute ambulance at the bank & started saying "da-y'!! After he got off work (around 12:30) we got stuff ready & went to the Island. Jonathan & Jeremy had a great time kayaking. The kids & I walked the beach a few times & then just hung out in the truck. They both needed naps & I need to relax! :-) We were all VERY TIRED when we got home. hangin' out together in the stroller!He really is happy!! :-)
