I can pray

I've been thinking alot lately about my calling that God has given me, and the Devil has been trying to discourage me that I'm not doing any good to anyone. Really, my day consists of feeding babies, changing diapers, laundry, cleaning, cooking and the list goes on. And the cycle just keeps going! But we've been hearing this song on the radio & it spoke so clear to me, that the most important thing you do in ministry, I CAN DO, that is pray!
I thought I'd share the words with you, maybe it will help someone else too. Also, if you visit the Dove Brothers website, you should be able to hear the song.

I Can Pray

Verse 1 -
You say I'm not able, I'm too young or I'm too old.
I can't sing or I can't teach, and no title do I hold.
Lord what can I do? For I want to do my part,
and I want to help the hurting;
with all of my heart.

can pray! Until the walls come down,
Til there's healing all around.
That's somethin' I can do.
In my secret place, calling on your name,
That's somethin' I can do.
I can pray.

Verse 2 -
My family shows no interest, my child has gone so far.
Though I try my best to reach them, their hearts just seem so hard.
Lord what can I do, to help bring them back to you?
For my family's lost and dying,
and my words do not get though.

But I can pray! Until the walls come down.
Til there's healing all around.
That's somethin' I can do,
I can pray in my secret place,
calling on your name.
That's somethin' I can do,
I can pray.

You may not be a preacher.
You may not be a Sunday School teacher.
You may not be able to sing.
But friend, there's somethin' you can do,
you can pray, in your secret place,
calling on His name;
that's somethin' you can do;
you can pray.
I can pray. We can pray.
I know you hear us Lord when we pray.
We will pray.
I will pray.
Will you pray??

Hey, Renee! That is one of my favorite songs as well....and has encouraged me many times. Don't be discouraged, you are just beginning your very important ministry years, and all too soon they will be over. Trust me, it is the most rewarding ministry that you can have....even if you don't feel like it right now! Stay encouraged and remember there are those of us who care about you.

By the way, Rosalva and family have requested you all to stay at there house during Mexico IHC, since they heard you might come. So you know you have a place!

Take care!

Collette,
Thanks for your encouragement! I'm so excited to stay with Rosalva again! She's a wonderful hostess, and even though we couldn't communicate very well, I felt truly welcome in her home!

Hi. I don't know you and you don't know me. I just happened across your website.
I just want to encourage you as a Mother and wife.
I have had this feeling like I needed to be doing something more and great so many times, but I am finally realzing how wonderful it is to be a wife and Mom. The job is incredibly important and you will have more influence on your own family than about anyone else. So, I just want to encourage you to take being a Mom and wife as your very obvious calling from God. We all want to do something great for God, and we forget that this job is incredible and a very obvious calling.
God bless your life.

Oops. I see I spelled realizing wrong.
Excuse me. :-)
