Mountain Life

Our kids had a wonderful time this weekend in the mountains of Mexico. One day, I found Korey outside the fence just walking down the road with 2 sheep! He was having a blast! I guess I should tell you a little more about what its like out there. In the previous post there is a few pictures of the road. Yes, its really that bad! There is one place where we saw the road caving in. Also there is no electricity! No running water! (They have it fixed so it pipes in from a spring but only to a barrel in the yard.) All the water for laundry, bathes, dishes, cooking & drinking has to be carried from that barrel! They do have a gas stove and fridge but we used the fireplace for heating water and cooking beans. We stayed in a tent all weekend. That was a new experience for me but it was good!

Hey, what a terrific tent! Is it as big as it looks?

Joy, Yes it was! It was great!! We all (our family) slept in it and all our stuff was in there. It was great! Jonathan could stand up in it too, so it was pretty tall! =)
