Kylie cuteness

Kylie has been doing & saying some very cute things lately...here are a few before I forgot them!
  • She likes calling me 'weetheart'. Lately if I don't answer her right away when she says mommy, she calls 'weetheart'! The other morning she woke me up patting my back saying weetheart! Trust me - it melts this heart!!

  • She has learned that when Copper barks usually someone is coming or people are around. Today she heard Copper bark and said, "Grandma coming? Who here? Grandma."

  • When Kamryn cries, Kylie says: "I sorry Kam." (She knows how to say her whole name, she just choices to say Kam) or "I know baby" or "I'm coming"

  • After not being to the church here in the valley for about a month (1 week b/c of the baby, weeks they canceled b/c of the hurricane and 1 week from being in Mexico) we pulled in the drive the other day and the first thing she said was "Nemy" (Jeremy) "Wa" (Joshua)

  • And finally, today she found a box that was here and was playing on top of it. (its a tall narrow box) She smashed it down and then started rocking in it...next thing I know she's dragging it across the kitchen saying "Ikak" (Kayak)!

Lastly here are some pictures Aunt Becka took of Kylie Sunday afternoon in Mexico. Kylie finally fell asleep right before church time so Aunt Becka stayed with her and after their nap they had fun doing this photo shoot and taking a walk! Thanks Aunt Becka, these are priceless!

I've seen several people doing husband appreciation posts lately around blog land. While I'm not going to 'brag' about mine this time I do have some thoughts on the subject. I just read an article in Focus on the Family magazine where the author was talking about that she always compared her husband to her friends husbands and then when he didn't 'match up' to the things they did (dishes, laundry...) it would make her feel he wasn't good enough. (There was more to the article but that's the basic idea.) So, with that said, I just want to thank God for the husband He gave to me. I'm glad he's not "someone else"!

Mexico - part 1

I have to do the weekend in several posts, since the other pictures are on my laptop and its easier to upload pictures when I'm out and can use high speed. We did have a good trip last weekend. My sister was here so we wanted to show her the interior of Mexico, and the camp meeting in Villa Minero was going on so we went there. We got there late Friday night (early Sat. AM) found our rooms and got to bed around 2 Am or so. Saturday morning we went to church and then spent the rest of the day driving in the mountains! It is so beautiful and quiet out there and so relaxing! We've had some busy weeks the past month and it did me so much good to just be still and view God's handiwork! Later that evening, the kids enjoyed their first river bath! The bathroom facilities we had were not very 'kid friendly' and we were already at the river so we just bathed them there. That was probably the easiest bath time we've had in this family for awhile! =) Korey was crying to be in longer and Kylie loved it once she decided to get in. Hope you enjoy these pictures. Even though I'm more a city girl, I love the mountains and wouldn't complain if God let me live there.

Resucing Daddy

Today we were getting ready to go to town when Jonathan called & asked if I could come and tow him back to the station from Pharr, because he & Ron were broke down in the ambulance! So we all piled in the truck and went. When we got there he said that his boss wanted him to fix it right there. It was quit the afternoon but it was a fun memory except when the kids had HAD enough!! Here are a few pictures from our adventure! (I'll spare you all the details, and all the trips to O'Riellys!)Hanging out in the truck waiting
